| Volunteers Needed For New Mexico
Fishing Clinics SANTA FE, NM—The New
Mexico Department of Game and Fish (DGF) is looking for
volunteer anglers to teach children and young adults how
to fish. Volunteers will assist the DGF at various fishing
clinics, stream monitoring activities and other programs.
Most activities will be performed outdoors, but some
classroom work might be involved.
"This is a great opportunity to have a positive influence
on kids by helping them develop a lifelong love of fishing
and the outdoors," says Kevin Holladay, the DGF's aquatic
resource education coordinator. "We're not looking for
expert anglers. We just need people who are jazzed about
teaching kids about fishing."
